“Wolves Reignite Interest in Southampton’s Che Adams, Competing with Everton for January Move”
Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly renewed their interest in Southampton’s Che Adams, entering the race to sign him alongside Everton. The ongoing speculation around Adams, a former Birmingham City player, has linked him with Wolves consistently in recent transfer windows, with suggestions that this saga might conclude this month.
At 27 years old, Adams is currently in his prime and maintains a regular starting position for Southampton as they strive to regain Premier League status after last season’s relegation. He has contributed six goals and two assists in 22 Championship appearances this season and scored five times in the top tier last year.
According to Sky Sports, three Premier League clubs are vying for Adams in January, with Wolves being one of them. Everton, who made a £15 million bid for the striker in the summer, is reportedly rekindling their interest as manager Sean Dyche seeks to strengthen his forward line.
With Adams’ contract expiring on June 30, this transfer window offers Southampton a final chance to capitalize on his sale, potentially allowing Wolves, Everton, or other suitors to secure him at a reduced price.
In a related development, Wolverhampton is also considering a move for Danny Ings, the former Liverpool and Southampton striker. Reports suggest a potential loan move, but discussions may not progress immediately. West Ham’s interest in signing a replacement before allowing Ings to leave, particularly due to recent injuries to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen, could impact the timing of any deal. Ings, 31, boasts 70 goals in 215 Premier League appearances across five different clubs in his career.
