“Football Transfer Buzz: Arsenal Recalls Biereth, Celtic Rejects £4m Valuation, and Rangers Eye Left-Back Options”

Motherwell setback

Arsenal has decided to cut short striker Mika Biereth’s season-long loan

at Motherwell, hinting at another loan move on the horizon.

Sheffield Wednesday is reportedly interested in acquiring the Denmark Under-21 international.

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell expressed disappointment, stating that the recall was unexpected, and Arsenal believes there’s an opportunity to send Biereth to a club that offers a higher level of competition.

Celtic rejects £4m valuation

Celtic has shown interest in Estoril’s Tiago Araujo, but the

Scottish champions are unwilling to meet the Portuguese club’s £4m asking price for the left-back.

Unless Estoril revises their valuation, it appears unlikely that the 22-year-old will join Celtic during the January transfer window.

Ange pursues former Celtic target

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly targeting

center-back Ko Itakura, whom he tried to sign for Celtic.

The 26-year-old, initially linked to Celtic when

Postecoglou arrived, opted for a loan move to Schalke

04 and later joined Borussia Mochengladbach for £4.3m.

Postecoglou is now considering bringing Itakura to

Tottenham, possibly in the summer when a reported £13m release clause becomes active.

Three-way battle for Celtic defender

Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke is attracting interest from Serie A,

creating a three-way transfer tussle.

Despite being only six months into his five-year contract at

Celtic, Lagerbielke is allowed to leave on loan in January.

Lecce, Genoa, and now Hellas Verona are reportedly competing for his signature.

Doig’s Italy stay

Josh Doig is expected to stay in Italy after his proposed move to Marseille collapsed.

Hellas Verona, his current club, received a rival offer

from Sassuolo, leading to negotiations for a more

lucrative £5.1m transfer, plus add-ons. Hibs stands to gain a £1.5m windfall from the deal.

Dundee near EPL signing

Dundee is reportedly close to securing the signing of Everton center-back Ryan Astley.

Negotiations are underway for the 22-year-old to

complete a permanent transfer to Dens Park, with Astley moving on

a free, and Everton including a sell-on clause in the deal.

Hearts target Dhanda

Hearts’ pursuit of midfielder Yan Dhanda may only

materialize if the Edinburgh club agrees to pay a transfer fee.

Ross County manager Derek Adams insists Dhanda will remain

until the summer unless a satisfactory offer is made during this transfer window.

Rangers left-back pursuit

Rangers manager Philippe Clement is seeking a left-back,

but the reported target, Benfica’s David Jurasek, seems set to join Hoffenheim on loan.

Clement has emphasized retaining Ridvan Yilmaz until a replacement is secured.

Other left-back options linked to Rangers include Gijs Smal, Cameron Pring, and Josh Doig.

Hibs linked with winger

Hibs is reportedly interested in signing Hertha Berlin winger Myziane Maolida.

The club aims to attract the 24-year-old to Easter Road this month,

with a potential summer move also on the cards.

Maolida, currently with Hana Rostock, could be available at a

compromised transfer fee, given he is no longer part of Hertha’s plans.
