“Celtic Goalkeeper Shuffle: Siegrist Set for Loan Move as Club Eyes Kelleher in Upcoming Transfer Window”

Major changes are anticipated in Celtic’s goalkeeper lineup in 2024, as Joe Hart nears the end of his contract. Instead of relying on Scott Bain or Benjamin Siegrist

as potential successors, manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly considering a loan-to-buy deal for Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher.

Meanwhile, there are indications that Siegrist, along with Hart, might be on the way out of Parkhead.

Football Insider reports that Celtic is prepared to loan out Siegrist before the end of the January transfer window and would consider reasonable offers.

Multiple European clubs are reportedly considering moves for Siegrist, and his availability on loan is likely to attract interest.

Despite impressive performances at Dundee United, where he

played 145 games, Siegrist has had limited opportunities at Celtic.

Signed in 2022, he was initially the backup to

Hart but suffered a serious calf injury, making only two appearances in

the League Cup early rounds.

Although he remained on the bench for league fixtures and

Champions League matches, he hasn’t played a single match this season.

Siegrist’s contributions at Dundee United included a noteworthy record of conceding an average of one goal per match and achieving more than 50 clean sheets.

Despite his contract with Celtic until 2026, it appears that Siegrist’s time at the club is coming to an end, with Rodgers seemingly dissatisfied with the current backup options.
