“Rangers Midfielder Kieran Dowell Undergoes Successful Surgery Following Winter Break Injury”
Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell has undergone successful surgery to address the injury he sustained during the winter break, according to manager Philippe Clement.
Dowell, 26, suffered the injury after his studs caught in the pitch during training in La Manga, ruling him out for an extended period.
Clement mentioned Dowell’s unfortunate incident on a challenging pitch, expressing that the player would face a lengthy recovery.
Providing an update, Clement mentioned that Dowell’s surgery went well.
However, Rangers continue to face absences, with Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe, and Danilo unavailable.
Abdallah Sima is also sidelined following an injury that prematurely ended his time at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
Clement stated, “Ben (Davies) is not available. Dowell had his operation, and this went well. Kemar Roofe and Danilo are also still out.
Ben is more short-term compared with the other guys.”
Regarding Sima, he expects to receive more information from
the medical staff later, emphasizing the team’s resilience in overcoming injuries throughout the season.
