West Brom Deals Blow to Everton, Leicester City, and Southampton in Transfer Pursuit
West Bromwich Albion has quashed speculation about Tom Fellows leaving the club by securing him with a new extended contract.
The midfielder’s previous contract was set to expire in the summer, and there were rumors linking him to a potential move to Premier League side Everton, as well as interest from Championship rivals Leicester City and Southampton.
To put an end to the speculations, Fellows has committed to a three-and-a-half-year
extension, ensuring his stay at West Brom until at least the summer of 2027.
This new deal allows him to approach upcoming matches, including the Black Country Derby against Wolves on Sunday, with a clear focus and without concerns about his future.
Expressing his satisfaction with the contract extension, Fellows mentioned
his belief that West Brom is the right environment for his development as a player.
He emphasized the importance of gaining playing time and being part of the senior
squad to continue improving. The decision to extend his stay was influenced by discussions with
his family, who shared similar views, making the choice straightforward for him.
Fellows acknowledged the role of manager Carlos Corberan in his decision, citing the
manager’s belief in him as a significant factor.
Having played 18 times this season with two goals and an assist, Fellows has
become a valuable asset to the team.
Drawing from his loan experience at Crawley
Town last season, he expressed gratitude for the opportunities and is
determined to continue working hard under Corberan’s guidance.
