“Transfer Tussle: Everton’s Danjuma Move to Lyon Hits Roadblock Over O’Brien Inclusion”

Arnaut Danjuma’s (26) potential transfer from Everton to Olympique Lyonnais has encountered a setback, as reported by L’Équipe. Everton is insisting on including Jake O’Brien (22) as a part of the deal.

The complication arises from the fact that Danjuma, a Netherlands international, needs to be recalled from his loan at Everton before being loaned out again by his parent club, Villarreal.

Everton seems open to ending Danjuma’s loan spell at Goodison Park, but they have set a condition: Lyon must sell O’Brien to them.

However, John Textor is firm in his stance, stating that the Irish center-back will not leave Lyon this month. O’Brien has proven to be Lyon’s top defender this season. Lyon is optimistic that Everton might reconsider their position to facilitate Danjuma’s arrival before the transfer window closes next Thursday.
