Rival Premier League clubs make a move for Liverpool player following unsuccessful January bid from Rangers.

Dundee appears to have successfully secured the loan return of Liverpool’s left-back Owen Beck, following Rangers’ unsuccessful January attempt to sign the player.

The 21-year-old Welsh left-back is on the brink of making a remarkable comeback to Dens

Park after Liverpool had initially recalled Beck during an earlier season injury crisis.

BBC Scotland journalist Jane Park suggests that the final details of the deal are currently being finalized.

If the anticipated deal is completed, it would conclude a dynamic month for Owen Beck,

who made his Liverpool debut in a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth earlier in the month.

Both Rangers and Celtic were strongly linked to a January move for Owen Beck, as both

Glasgow clubs sought a new left-back during the transfer window.

There were even reports that initial approaches by both Rangers and Celtic were turned

down by Liverpool, given the injuries to Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Despite the transfer speculation being temporarily halted due to Beck’s appearance for Liverpool against Bournemouth, as he had already played for two teams this season, the return to Dundee for

more playing time seems imminent with Liverpool’s left-back situation returning to normal.

While Rangers have shifted their focus to other left-back options, such as Brazilian Jefté,

the ongoing situation with Owen Beck and Dundee remains of interest to fans.

Beck has shown outstanding form for Dundee this season, and Liverpool’s decision to recall him

reflects his notable progress in Scotland.

Manager Tony Docherty expressed enthusiasm about a potential return, stating that if given the

chance, they would eagerly welcome Beck back, emphasizing his pivotal role in the team earlier in the season.

Docherty acknowledged that the decision currently lies with Beck’s parent club, and they

are monitoring the situation.
