Spurs of Ange are denied as Everton steals a draw in injury time.
Tottenham’s pursuit of the title faced frustration as Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite secured a late 2-2 draw, spoiling Richarlison’s return to Goodison Park, where he scored two goals.
Despite Richarlison’s impressive form, the Toffees’ 21-year-old center-back, Branthwaite,
intervened with a header at the far post in added time, earning a point for Everton.
The result reflected Sean Dyche’s team’s determination and highlighted Tottenham‘s missed
opportunities to seal the victory.
Richarlison, respecting his former fans, refrained from celebrating his goals, scored in the
4th minute and during the match’s early stages.
In the fourth minute of additional time, Branthwaite capitalized on a flicked header by
Cristian Romero from James Garner’s free-kick, securing the equalizer.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s apparent goal was credited to Jack Harrison at the
start of the second half, adding to Everton’s frustrations.
While Everton hasn’t secured a league win since mid-December, the dramatic
draw against Tottenham is expected to boost team morale.
However, a challenging trip to face Manchester City awaits them next.
