Everton Is Monitoring This Ligue 1 Striker: Is Dyche going to call him out?
In a recent report by La Provence, it was mentioned that Everton is monitoring Olympique Marseille forward Iliman Ndiaye.
The Toffees are reportedly interested in securing the services of the Senegalese
striker, but they face competition from Crystal Palace in their pursuit.
Despite some inconsistency in goal-scoring for Marseille in Ligue 1 this season,
Ndiaye has shown glimpses of promise in the final third.
In 25 matches across all competitions, he has scored one goal
and provided three assists. His contributions include an average of 1.1 shots, 0.8 key passes,
and 1.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in Ligue 1, along with a pass success rate of 82.5%.
Ndiaye’s current contract with Marseille runs until 2028, which could complicate Everton’s efforts to secure his signature.
Given his ability to create scoring opportunities and make driving runs with the ball, Ndiaye could strengthen Everton’s attacking options. With the club needing more goals, acquiring him would be beneficial in the long term.
At 23 years old, Ndiaye has potential for further development and could challenge players like
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto for a regular starting position at Goodison Park.
Considering these factors, Everton manager Sean Dyche should strongly consider pursuing
Ndiaye when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.
