Tottenham is a target for Everton, and the Toffees hope to profit on the 31-game hero.

Tottenham and Newcastle are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Everton‘s James Garner, with the Toffees looking to turn a profit on the midfielder.

The 22-year-old has been a significant presence in Sean Dyche’s squad this season,

featuring in 31 matches and contributing two goals and an assist.

Everton, who acquired Garner from Manchester United in 2022 for £15 million,

are seeking to command a fee of around £20 million to £25 million for the Englishman, as per Football Insider.

Amid expectations of summer bids for Garner, both Tottenham and Newcastle are said to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Everton’s precarious Premier League position could make it difficult to retain Garner,

and a substantial transfer fee could also help address the club’s Financial Fair Play concerns.

Newcastle, in particular, appears to be a suitable destination for Garner, as they have been searching for midfield reinforcements.

Manager Eddie Howe has relied on 17-year-old Lewis Miley this season,

but a more seasoned player like Garner would be valuable moving forward.

However, Newcastle faces stiff competition from Tottenham, and with Garner

valued at £25 million, other clubs might also be tempted to join the race for his signature.
