Jordan Pickford is quick to yell at his Everton teammates, but he also makes mistakes of his own, which Richard Keys finds amusing.
Pickford was extremely off his line throughout the first half of Saturday’s (1-1) draw at the Amex Stadium, but he was lucky to escape conceding.
Danny Welbeck knocked the ball past Pickford and ran it out of play, denying
Brighton the chance to capitalize.

When Pickford emerged from his box to try and stop a pass down the middle,
he was stranded in a dangerous situation.
Pickford was totally removed from the game by Welbeck when he got past two
Everton defenders, but Welbeck’s touch was too strong.
It’s true that Pickford isn’t above making light of his teammates, but that’s simply part
of his character and why he’s so beloved.
The Everton stopper was moments away from keeping a valuable shutout on the
South Coast, only for Lewis Dunk to pop up in the 94th minute.
A 1-1 draw for the Toffees is certainly not a terrible result, but it does feel like an
opportunity missed against the 10 men of Brighton.
It means Everton remain in relegation trouble, and they are going to need
Pickford on top of his game if they are to fight themselves out of it.
