Young Everton player who plays like Robert Lewandowski has a chance to make the first team.
Everton has a strong tradition of nurturing talent from their academy, and it seems another promising player is emerging from Finch Farm.
Throughout its history, Goodison Park has seen the rise of notable academy graduates like Wayne Rooney and Leon Osman, who collectively amassed over 550 appearances for the club.
The latest addition to this lineage is Jarrad Branthwaite, who is enjoying an
impressive debut season with Everton. However, he is not alone, as another young talent is making waves in the under-18s and 21s squads.
George Morgan, a forward in Everton’s under-18 team, has caught the attention of
experts and was featured in The Guardian’s ‘Next Generation: 2023’ series, which highlights top talents in
Premier League clubs born between September 2006 and August 2007.
Son of former professional footballer Craig Morgan, George is described as a powerful
and fast center-forward with a keen eye for goal, drawing inspiration from the likes of Robert Lewandowski.
While Morgan has represented England at youth levels, he now plays for Wales and has
already earned caps for their under-17s team. His progress has not gone unnoticed, particularly with
Everton’s first team facing scoring challenges.
Although Morgan is still young, there is a clear pathway for him to potentially make his
senior debut if he continues to impress with the under-21s. With recent injuries affecting the squad,
Morgan could find himself with more opportunities to showcase his talent.
However, patience is key when nurturing young players, and Everton’s management understands
the importance of allowing Morgan time to develop. For now, his focus remains on performing well for the
reserve team before aiming for a spot in Everton’s first team lineup.
