Alan Brazil Describes It as “Simply Ridiculous” that Everton Might Encounter Another Points Deduction for Violating Premier League’s Financial Rules
Everton faces a second alleged breach of their league’s financial fair play regulations, with their initial point deduction reduced to six points from the original 10.
Jordan Pickford, the goalkeeper for Everton, acknowledged that the potential repercussions serve as a distraction for the players. Meanwhile, Brazil expressed his frustration over the prolonged duration the Premier League has taken to reach a verdict.
During his appearance on talkSPORT on Thursday (7 March, 7:53), Brazil remarked: “Even though Everton’s initial 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s financial rules has been reduced to six, the possibility of further penalties looms. It’s absolutely ridiculous; the situation just seems endless.”
Could Everton Face Another Points Deduction and Risk Relegation?
The current situation at Goodison Park is shrouded in uncertainty, as a decision regarding 777 Partners’ takeover approval is still pending. Coupled with the lack of clarity surrounding the potential points deduction, the atmosphere remains tense.
