In light of Chelsea’s transfer announcement, Everton now anticipates “substantial” bids for Jarrad Branthwaite’s exit.

In light of recent developments at Stamford Bridge involving Chelsea, Everton is now anticipating “substantial” bids for Jarrad Branthwaite during the summer transfer window, as reported by the Sunday Mirror.

The publication stated on page 61 of its print edition on March 10 that the Toffees

anticipate a strong push from teams like Manchester United and Chelsea to recruit the 21-year-old, who has

shown promise under Sean Dyche this season.

Branthwaite, who moved from Carlisle to Goodison Park, is also expected to be called up to Gareth Southagate’s England team for the March international matches in advance of the European Championships this summer.

Will Jarrad Branthwaite finish his Everton transfer to Chelsea or Manchester United?

Everyone associated with Goodison Park has had an extremely unhappy season; point deductions, off-field problems, and a dismal Premier League run have soured the spirits of most fans.

But Branthwaite’s incredible performances at the center of the Toffees defense, where he has excelled alongside James Tarkowski for the majority of the season, have been one of Dyche’s few bright spots.

The 21-year-old has blown away fans and pundits alike with his performances and while that could help Everton dodge the drop into the Championship, it was always going to lead to interest from teams further up the Premier League food chain.

Luckily for the Toffees, reports have suggested that they didn’t include a relegation

release clause in the defender’s new deal on Merseyside.

That means that they will be able to earn a substantial

transfer fee, whether they stay up this season or not.

Hopefully, Branthwaite will help Dyche’s side secure their place in the Premier League for

at least another season, book his place at Euro 2024 and then earn Everton

a hefty transfer fee during the summer window.
