Celtic Hints at Summer Tour in the USA as Brendan Rodgers Plans Pre-Season Schedule

The Hoops Often Travel Abroad for Summer Preparations, with Previous Trips to Australia in Recent Years.

Celtic has hinted at a Summer tour to the USA as part of their preparations for the upcoming season, with destinations like Washington DC, North Carolina, and Notre Dame possibly on their schedule.

While Brendan Rodgers and his team are currently engaged in a fierce title battle with Rangers and vying for the Scottish Cup trophy, it seems plans for the next season are already taking shape. The Hoops recently shared an image featuring Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers alongside USA and Ireland flags, with the caption. Notably, the iconic Washington Monument was also featured in the image, suggesting that the US capital city will be one of the stops on their tour. Additionally, the image hinted at visits to the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, and the Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower in North Carolina.

Both Liam scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers would likely be warmly welcomed in the USA and Ireland respectively, as Celtic is known for its regular overseas visits during the summer pre-season period. Last year, under Rodgers leadership, the team traveled to Portugal before embarking on a tour of Japan. The club has a history of visiting America, with former managers Martin Neill, Gordon Strachan, and Neil Lennon all leading their squads there. Excitement among fans is palpable, with many expressing their enthusiasm for the potential trip across the Atlantic.

Despite preparations for the upcoming season, the focus remains on the current campaign. Celtic currently leads the league standings after Rangers’ match against Dundee was postponed on Sunday following two pitch inspections, one by a local official and another by match referee Don Robertson. A new date for the rescheduled game is yet to be announced.
