Arsenal is reportedly considering the possibility of replacing left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, although his departure is not certain. Despite having more than two years left on his contract, Zinchenko’s recent form has raised questions about his role in the team’s defense.

This summer, Arsenal may choose to replace the criticized Mikel Arteta star, whose future is still up in the air…

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that discussions about Zinchenko’s future at Arsenal are ongoing, and the club is exploring various options for the summer transfer window. While Zinchenko’s versatility and occasional deployment in midfield have been noted, the club is still evaluating its defensive options.

Jakub Kiwior is seen as a more reliable option at left-back, contributing to 11 clean sheets in 27 games this season. However, Zinchenko has also been effective, securing 14 clean sheets in 33 matches.

Zinchenko’s ability to play in multiple positions, including midfield, adds to his value, especially considering his regular involvement in the center for Ukraine. However, Arsenal’s decision regarding his future and the potential recruitment of a new left-back will depend on further discussions and evaluations in the coming weeks.
