Edwards-Helaire disclosed on July 29 that he has been battling post-traumatic stress disorder on his X (formerly Twitter) account, which is why he missed a large portion of training camp.
“Having PTSD makes daily living difficult and extremely overwhelming. I’ve had a lot of flare-ups in the last month, and the wonderful people at the Chiefs have been supporting me during some really trying times. The following practice, I’ll be back rolling! Glydro, all my love,” he wrote.
The Chiefs are protecting Edwards-Helaire because it is the correct thing to do and because the player’s health is their first priority. I hope the running back receives the help he needs to recover and return to form when he’s ready.
In order to maintain their perfect record in the 2024 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs won their third straight game on Sunday night. But the Atlanta Falcons made them sweat until the very end, as both Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes know.
The quarterback and head coach discussed the opponents’ strength after the game, far from running away from it. Raheem Morris, the Falcons’ head coach who assumed leadership this season, was praised highly by Reid.
According to Sports Illustrated, Reid added, “My hat goes off to Raheem, being a new coach here—the Atlanta Falcons are in great hands.” “They were excellent on both sides of the ball, playing hard, aggressive football.”
