The body of the 42-year-old was found after police were called to the property at 7.25pm.
An investigation into the man’s death has been launched.
Police said the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
Witnesses said police forced their way into the property last night and an ambulance was also sent to the scene.
Forensics experts were at the property this morning.
A Merseyside police spokeswoman said: “Merseyside Police can confirm they are today at a property in Hillview, Aigburth.
