An air ambulance was sent to the scene of a serious crash in Holmfirth earlier today (Wednesday, October 27)
The road traffic collision occurred just before 2.30pm in Woodhead Road, near the near Hinchcliffe Mill and Holmebridge area.
Along with the helicopter, Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent out a rapid response unit and a road ambulance.

Police were also at the scene, according to eye witnesses – who say the ambulance landed nearby St David’s Church as police shut the road.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We responded to reports of a serious road traffic collision which occurred just before 2.30pm this afternoon (October 27) in Woodhead Road, Holmfirth.”
“We sent an air ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance.”
