With Tommy DeVito a fitness doubt, Drew Lock is in line to start for the New York Giants against the Dallas Cowboys.
Quarterback Drew Lock is in the frame to start for the New York Giants this evening, with Tommy DeVito a major doubt for the team’s Thanksgiving clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
What injury does DeVito have?
The Giants have listed DeVito as ‘questionable’ for the Week 13 match-up, after the 26-year-old suffered an arm injury in last Sunday’s defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ESPN’s Jordan Raanan has reported that DeVito is a “long shot” to play against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, where the 2-9 Giants will bid to end a six-game losing streak.
DeVito was himself only promoted to starting QB last weekend, in the wake of Daniel Jones’ departure from the franchise.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the Giants’ trip to Texas, Lock said he’s always primed to step into Brian Daboll’s team. “It’s just typical of the job right?” the 28-year-old said. “You’ve always got to be ready, no matter what the week, whatever the situation is. You’re just planning like you’re going to go out there and play. My mindset didn’t change this week.”
