Guardians Reveal Disappointing News About Guards Fest

The Cleveland Guardians annual fan fest was something that supporters could feel proud of.

It represents a golden opportunity for fans to perform fun baseball activities and meet the Guardians’ stars.

The team informed on Monday, however, that the ‘Guards Fest’, as it is called, won’t be held once per year anymore.

“The Cleveland Guardians today announced Guards Fest will move to a tri-annual event, with the next targeted Fan Fest occurring following the 2026 season,” the team wrote.

They also said that “after conducting fan outreach from the past several events, shifting to every three years allows us to ensure the best experience and event for all fans.”

The news came, needless to say, as a disappointment for many fans who didn’t hesitate to take their frustrations on X.

Many people correctly pointed out that they might not be able to meet Lane Thomas, who has a single year of team control remaining, or even team star Josh Naylor, just to name a couple of examples.

The reasons behind the adoption of this measure are most likely financial, but they do project a negative image among fans who are disappointed because they won’t be able to connect with the organization and its players for another couple of years.

The last edition was held on January 20th at the Huntington Convention Center and people thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now, the earliest the will be able to meet their favorite players and interact with them will be after the 2026 campaign.

It’s definitely disappointing.
