COLLINGWOOD young gun Darcy Moore only needed a half to snare the Round 19 Rising Star nomination with a scintillating display against West Coast.
DARCY Moore says he could still lead Collingwood’s attack on Friday night despite undergoing a scan on the hamstring he injured in Saturday’s win against West Coast.
The athletic forward claimed the NAB Rising Star nomination on Monday despite playing just 34 per cent game time against the Eagles.
The gong means the Magpies have earned a nomination in 21 of the 23 years the Rising Star has existed, despite never producing an overall winner.

Magpies football boss Neil Balme conceded Moore was unlikely to get up for Friday night’s clash against Richmond.
“It was certainly a day of mixed emotions,” Moore said.
“It was a good quarter and a half for me and then I was pretty stoked the team got over the line, because West Coast is a really good top-four team.
