5-Star Reunion? WR Micah Hudson Predicted To Return to Texas Tech After Portal Fiasco

Micah Hudson, a former five-star wide receiver from Lake Belton High School, has announced his transfer from Texas Tech to Texas A&M after a challenging freshman season in Lubbock. Hudson, who was the highest-rated recruit in Texas Tech’s history, struggled to secure consistent playing time during his lone season with the Red Raiders. He played in eight games, recording eight receptions for 123 yards and missing the final four games due to a stress fracture

Despite his limited production, Hudson’s potential was evident, and he entered the transfer portal seeking a fresh start. His decision to transfer was influenced by the need for a change in environment to better showcase his skills. Texas A&M, addressing a significant need at the wide receiver position, secured Hudson’s commitment. The Aggies’ offense had struggled in 2024, ranking 93rd in the FBS in passing offense, and Hudson’s addition is seen as a step toward revitalizing their passing game

Hudson’s move to Texas A&M is not just a change of scenery but also a strategic decision to align with a program that can provide the platform he needs to reach his full potential. With three years of eligibility remaining, Hudson aims to contribute significantly to the Aggies’ offense and fulfill the high expectations that accompanied his recruitment.
