NFL delivers bad news to three Dolphins players, making loss to the Bills look even worse
The fines around the NFL continue. This week, three Miami Dolphins players have been punished by the league because of plays that happened in Week 9, when the team lost to the Buffalo Bills.
Running back Raheem Mostert was fined $18,830 for unnecessary Roughness (use of the helmet) on a play during the first quarter of the game.
Safety Jordan Poyer was punished with a $11,193 fine for unnecessary roughness for a hit on the defenseless player โ it was a clear penalty on Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman.
Additionally, second-year cornerback Cam Smith was fined $8,874 for unnecessary roughness as well โ a horse-collar tackle.
While it’s tough to see football players losing money like that for normal plays, at least it goes to a good cause. The fines collected are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support legends in need.
