Ex-Everton Scout shares a “ridiculous” verdict and forecasts the outcome of the appeal process.

Former Everton scout Bryan King believes that Everton will not succeed in their appeal against the 10-point deduction imposed by the Premier League for breaching financial rules.

The Goodison Park club’s appeal hearing began on January 31, and a decision is

expected in mid-February, as reported by BBC Sport on January 30.

King expressed his skepticism about the appeal, stating, “No.

If it is, then it’s ridiculous what has just gone on. Either they are found guilty or they’re not.”

He emphasized the importance of fair play in the way clubs are managed and criticized

Everton’s management over the past two years, particularly highlighting their recruitment issues.

He also mentioned ongoing concerns about the possibility of further point deductions.

King stressed the need for Everton to demonstrate to their supporters that they are

addressing the situation, as there is still uncertainty among fans about who is to blame for the financial breaches.

The news also mentions the involvement of Tory MP Dame Caroline Dinenage

and BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, who have shared their perspectives on

the situation involving Everton and Nottingham Forest, both facing charges from the Premier League.
