The 22-year-old midfield target’s asking price is revealed to Tottenham and Newcastle.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have expressed interest in securing the services of Everton midfielder James Garner.
Both clubs are looking to bolster their midfield options, with Tottenham aiming
to enhance their quality and depth in that area. Garner, at 22 years old, presents an appealing prospect for
Tottenham, bringing attributes such as work rate, defensive capabilities, and driving force to their midfield lineup.
Reports from Football Insider suggest that Everton could demand a fee in the range of £20 to 25 million for Garner, though Tottenham’s ability to meet this valuation remains uncertain.
While Tottenham has also been linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, who is likely to command a higher price, the situation regarding their pursuit of Garner is yet to unfold.
Newcastle United, on the other hand, also see Garner as a valuable addition to their midfield, especially considering the potential availability of Everton’s top players should the club face relegation to the Championship. Garner, a former Manchester United midfielder, offers promise at just 22 years old and
could further develop under coaching and experience.
Both Tottenham and Newcastle could benefit from Garner’s talents, with his reported asking price appearing
reasonable for his quality. He has already established himself in the Premier
League and could make an immediate impact at either club next season.
While Tottenham’s current position in the race for Champions League
qualification may make them a more attractive destination for Garner compared
to Newcastle, the eventual decision
on his destination remains uncertain.
