Maintaining Tabs on Rome’s Mile-Sviular
Everton, a Premier League club, is closely monitoring the situation of Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
The Serbian shot-stopper has been increasingly influential for Roma, notably aiding the club in defeating Feyenoord on penalties by making crucial saves during the shootout.
This surge in form has led to speculation that Svilar could potentially displace Rui Patricio as the first-choice goalkeeper.
According to reports by Daniele Longo, Svilar’s performance has propelled him into contention for regular first-team action until the end of the season, possibly sidelining Patricio. However, Roma must remain vigilant as there’s a chance they could lose Svilar.
Everton has shown interest in the 24-year-old goalkeeper, having made an inquiry about his availability. Currently, Roma is reluctant to part ways with Svilar unless presented with a substantial offer.
Despite Svilar’s emergence, Roma is still exploring options for a new goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window. One name on their radar is Wladimiro Falcone from Lecce.
