Omari Benjamin, an Arsenal attacker, is traveling to Everton as an official update from Goodison
Omari Benjamin, an Arsenal attacker, participated in Saturday’s U-21 match against Tottenham, according to Everton (2 March).
The 19-year-old is beginning for Everton Academy, according to the official Everton
Academy page, which verified the team news on Twitter.
The Blues’ young team overcame a 2-1 deficit to defeat Spurs thanks to a goal from the Welsh U-19 international and another from Tyler Onyango in North London.
It appears as though Benjamin is probably on trial with Everton after featuring for the U-21s side in the comeback win against Tottenham.
It was quite the impression from the teenager as his second-half goal proved to be enough to secure the result for the Toffees.
It’s unclear exactly what his situation is with Arsenal after coming through the ranks at the Emirates, but he could be a promising prospect for the Blues if they decide to sign him.
Sean Dyche will undoubtedly be eager to add some more bright young players to his setup, even though it might be some time before he plays for Goodison Park’s first team.
The club’s supporters will be hankering after that as well, given hardly many young players have succeeded on Merseyside in recent years.
