- An ex-soldier, his wife and their two young children were today found dead from gunshot wounds at their home on an exclusive estate. Former Coldstream Guards sergeant Anthony Smith, his wife Kay and their son and daughter were discovered by police who broke into their home in Heathside Park, on the outskirts of Camberley, Surrey. Detectives, who recovered a shotgun from the house, said they were treating the deaths as three murders and one suicide. Detective Superintendent John Beavis said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Police were called after worried friends – unable to make contact since Friday – reported a build-up of milk and post at the five-bedroom red brick home. The couple, both in their 30s, and their children were found upstairs in the ยฃ300,000 house. Mr Beavis, standing outside iron gates at the entrance to the estate, said: ‘This morning we had a call from friends who visited the family who live at the address here. ‘They were concerned that there had been no contact or sighting of the family over the weekend
