The Cure have announced a November 1st concert and livestream event at Troxy in London, which is billed as their only full live performance of 2024.
Dubbed the “Show of a Lost World,” the event arrives in support of The Cure’s first new album in 16 years, Songs for a Lost World, also dropping on November 1st. The band will perform the album in full, and it will be available to livestream for free via YouTube.
In-person tickets for The Cure’s show at Troxy in London will go on sale on Thursday, October 17th at 3:00 p.m. BST via the ticketing platform DICE, and £1 from each ticket sold will go to the charity War Child.
Fans who pre-order Songs for a Lost World before 11:59 a.m. BST on Wednesday, October 16th via The Cure’s official shop will have access to the in-person sale by receiving a unique code, which can be used to purchase tickets to the show on DICE. In addition to their concert at Troxy, The Cure are confirmed to play a live session at the BBC Radio Theatre in London’s Broadcasting House, which air on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 2 on October 31st.
Songs for a Lost World serves as The Cure’s first new album since 2008’s 4:13 Dream. They previewed the new album first by performing the new songs “And Nothing Is Forever,” “I Can Never Say Goodbye,” “Alone,” and “Endsong” on their 2022-2023 “Shows of a Lost World” tour. They formally announced the new album last month and shared the studio version of “Alone,” and just this week, shared the new song “A Fragile Thing.”
