A motorcyclist in his 20s from Somerset has died two weeks after suffering serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash, police have confirmed.
The incident, involving a silver Yamaha motorcycle, happened on Saturday, October 5, at around 6.40pm, on the A35 west of Bridport, near Eype in Dorset, just a few miles from the Devon border.
The young man, who was from Chard in Somerset, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, where he has spent the past two weeks fighting for his life.
Sadly, officers from Dorset Police have now confirmed that he died in hospital on Thursday morning (October 17). His family has been informed and is being supported by specially-trained officers.
