“Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers Eyes January Signings Amid Potential Player Absences for Asian Cup”

Brendan Rodgers has openly expressed his desire to strengthen his squad during the

January transfer window for Celtic. The manager has been eager to enhance

the team’s quality since the closure of the summer transfer window.

He mentioned that if players are called up for the Asian Cup,

commencing this month, he would need to make signings.

Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda have been chosen for the Japan national team,

while Kyogo Furuhashi will remain with Celtic. However, Oh Hyeon-gyu and

Yang Hyun-jun have been selected for South Korea, prompting Rodgers to acknowledge the potential need for market activity, stating,

“Obviously, we have been trying to anticipate the guys over the last few months

who are going away to the Asian Cup, so clearly if Daizen [Maeda] and Kyogo

[Furuhashi] are away, then we would have to do something in the market.”
