Estoril Praia’s Tiago Araújo is drawing interest from multiple clubs,
with Celtic reportedly considering him.
Scottish press indicates that Brendan Rodgers’ team is gearing up to make
an offer for the left-back or left wing-back in the upcoming winter transfer market.
Despite Araújo’s impressive performance, having scored three goals and
provided three assists in 23 games this season, Celtic has not taken
definitive steps to secure his services, as per O Jogo.
The Portuguese club claims that there has been no contact from Celtic regarding the fullback.
With less than 18 months left on his contract, Araújo is valued at no less
than €4m by Estoril, who acquired him from Benfica in 2022.
O Jogo notes that if a transfer occurs, Estoril will have to pay 50%
of the fee to Benfica, as part of the terms from his initial signing.
Celtic, if interested, has been made aware of the conditions
required to finalize the transfer, but as of now, no formal contact has been made between the two clubs.
