Amid concerns about a £100 million fee, Toney sends a strong message to Arsenal and Chelsea about his transfer.

Ivan Toney is poised to make his return to Premier League action, having secured

a hat-trick for Brentford B this Saturday.

The striker, who faced an eight-month suspension due to betting offences, is now eligible for

Brentford’s upcoming league fixture.

Toney, who impressively netted 20 goals for the Bees last season,

even earning a call-up to the England squad, has drawn attention from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Despite the reported interest from both top clubs, Brentford has

reportedly set a steep asking price of around £100 million, a measure taken

as they battle against the threat of relegation under Thomas Frank.

While Arsenal and Chelsea are in need of a new center-forward, concerns

may arise about the substantial fee for Toney, given his absence from competitive play since May.

However, Toney showcased his goal-scoring prowess in a convincing 5-1 victory for Brentford B against Southampton U23s. He found the net just four minutes into the game, converting a cross from Kyreece Lisbie.

Toney continued his scoring streak with a header from a free-kick delivery, securing a brace before halftime.

In the second half, he completed his hat-trick within 10 minutes, scoring his second header, and also provided an assist for Brentford’s fourth goal through Iwan Morgan.

As a result, Toney is expected to be featured in Brentford’s matchday

squad for their next league encounter against Nottingham Forest on January 20.

The speculation surrounding Toney’s future is likely to persist, given his remarkable display that served as a reminder of his goal-scoring abilities.
