“Rangers Forward Sam Lammers Set for Permanent Exit After Disappointing Loan Spell at FC Utrecht”

Sam Lammers is set to leave Rangers permanently following an unsuccessful loan spell at FC Utrecht, according to sources from Football Insider. The Inside Track Podcast reported that all indications point towards Lammers’ departure after a challenging six months at Ibrox.

Reliable sources have informed Football Insider that Utrecht holds an option to buy Lammers, contingent on his success in the Dutch top-flight. The 26-year-old, who joined Rangers in the summer for a reported £3.5 million fee, faced criticism from fans for struggling to adapt, managing only two goals in 31 appearances.

Rangers are now open to parting ways with Lammers, unless he significantly impresses during his Eredivisie stint for the remainder of the season. The club has been active in bolstering their frontline, securing the loan of Wolves’ Fabio Silva. Sources suggest that Philippe Clement’s side is pursuing another forward, with the potential sale of Ridvan Yilmaz facilitating a deal before the end of the month.

Football Insider also revealed that Rangers, along with Celtic and Premier League clubs Wolves, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford, are monitoring Bristol City striker Tommy Conway. Currently, Rangers hold the second position in the league, trailing Celtic by eight points with two games in hand. Their next fixture is in the Scottish Cup on Saturday against fourth-tier side Dumbarton.
