“Everton Midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye Nears Full Recovery from Injury, Eyes Return to Action After African Cup of Nations Participation”

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye is nearing a full recovery from a recent injury, which Dr. Rajpal Brar suggests may have been related to his ligament.

The injury specialist evaluated comments from Sean Dyche prior to Gueye’s international duty at the African Cup of Nations.

Gueye, who experienced calf issues in the initial two tournament games, recently started a match and played 72 minutes.

According to Brar, Gueye’s discomfort post a challenge could be muscular, a knock, or possibly ligament-related.

The delayed return might have been influenced by the need for additional tests, as Dyche had initially expressed concerns about the severity of the injury.

Despite the setback, Gueye is steadily approaching full fitness during his participation in AFCON, and barring unforeseen developments, he is expected to be available upon his return.

Sean Dyche will likely welcome the return of the 34-year-old

midfielder to the squad, as Gueye has been a regular starter in 14 league

games this season, with his last appearance dating back to Everton’s 2-1

defeat against Tottenham on December 23rd
