“Botafogo Set to Secure Brazilian Forward Luiz Henrique, Beating Everton and Fulham in Transfer Race”

Brazilian club Botafogo is poised to secure the services of 23-year-old forward Luiz Henrique, outpacing Premier League contenders Everton and Fulham, reports Football Insider.

Henrique, previously part of Fluminense’s youth ranks, joined Real Betis after two years of first-team football in Brazil.

Since his move to Spain, he has played in 63 matches, contributing with four goals and 10 assists.

Despite limited game time in the current season, Henrique’s noteworthy performances have drawn interest from English clubs.

Both Fulham and Everton have expressed interest in the forward, seeking to bolster their attacking prowess before the transfer window closes on February 1.

Everton, grappling with a 10-point deduction, is in a relegation battle in the English top flight. Fulham, currently in 13th place with an eight-point buffer, aims to stay clear of the relegation zone and views Henrique as a potential asset.

However, it appears that both Premier League clubs might miss out on acquiring the Brazilian winger.

Botafogo is on the verge of finalizing a permanent deal with Real Betis, with plans to subsequently loan Henrique to Ligue 1 side Lyon.

American billionaire John Textor, who owns Crystal Palace, Lyon, and Botafogo, is orchestrating this deal.
