Everton has entered the fray alongside Inter Milan and Napoli by presenting a bid exceeding £17 million for
Fenerbahce standout Jayden Oosterwolde.
According to Habertürk, Everton has submitted a proposal surpassing £17 million for Fenerbahce’s defender Jayden
Oosterwolde. The Turkish newspaper reported on Wednesday that Inter Milan and Napoli have also made offers for
the player.
According to the report, the offers were approximately €20 million, but Fenerbahce has stated their lack of interest
in selling at this time.
Oosterwolde has featured in 30 matches for the Super Lig giants this season, with 13 appearances at left-back and
the remaining at centre-back.
His versatility is evident, being adept at both left-back and centre-back positions, making this transfer speculation a
logical fit.
Spending £17 million on a relatively unknown defender this month might seem unconventional for Everton. Yet, it
could signal the club’s proactive approach in the transfer market, particularly in anticipation of potential bids for
Jarrad Branthwaite in the upcoming summer.
Oosterwolde has made a notable impact at Fenerbahce since joining from Parma last summer, and his previous
experience at FC Twente underscores his talent and potential.
