“Ashley Young acknowledges her job at Everton and her potential move, saying, “If you can tell the manager.”

Ashley Young has expressed his intention to continue playing next season and stated that the decision on whether he stays at Everton lies with the club.

The 38-year-old, who joined Everton on a free transfer last summer, rebuffed offers from various Premier League, Sky Bet Championship, and European teams.

Although Young initially signed a one-year deal with Everton, he revealed his plan to extend his playing career into the next season after the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

When questioned about his future at Everton, Young emphasized that the club would need to initiate discussions.

Reflecting on the recent match, where Jarrad Branthwaite’s late goal secured a draw for Everton against Tottenham, Young acknowledged the disappointment of trailing at halftime but praised the team’s spirit.

He credited the team’s resilience and togetherness to the manager, highlighting the emphasis on collective effort since his arrival.

Young also emphasized the challenging atmosphere at Goodison Park, expressing the team’s determination to make it tough for opponents and focusing on their own performance to secure victories.

Despite spending a significant part of the season at full-back, Young mentioned that he prefers playing in the right-wing position, a role he assumed in the recent match against Tottenham after a similar stint against Fulham.
