Neal Maupay must be fired from Everton following further issues at Brentford.

The Everton player on loan found himself in another contentious situation against the Premier League champions when he got into a heated argument with Kyle Walker at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Just a week after causing a stir with his dart-themed goal celebration against Tottenham, where he mocked James Maddison, Maupay further infuriated Walker with a comment during their 3-1 loss.

Pep Guardiola intervened to calm down the England international, and both parties exchanged words, though Guardiola declined to comment on the incident later.

According to a report by the Daily Mail (February 6th), Maupay allegedly mentioned Walker’s children, referring to the defender’s recent personal issues off the field.

Maupay has faced criticism since joining Everton in August 2022, often disappearing during matches, which led to his loan return to his former club in West London.

While performing reasonably well at Brentford with five goals and three assists in 17 Premier League games, Maupay’s recurring issues from his time at Everton persist.

He seems intent on provoking opponents, as seen in the incident at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Maddison. However, his behavior continues to stir trouble, the latest being a serious accusation of mocking Walker’s family situation.

Given Everton’s ongoing issues, including a points deduction and disputes with the Premier League, they can ill afford further controversy. Maupay remains an Everton employee despite his loan spell at Brentford, putting the club in a difficult position.

While Everton may seek to profit from his services next summer, recent events suggest they may consider severing ties with him swiftly.
