The Oscar Cortes Ibrox origin tale is disclosed in the Rangers transfer news bulletin, and Morelos receives a return offer from Europe.

The talks that initiated Oscar Cortes’ transfer to Rangers began at a networking event in Lisbon. Cortes, a Colombian winger, has joined Rangers on loan initially, with the possibility of a permanent four-and-a-half-year deal if he performs well.

His journey from France to Glasgow was arranged during discussions in the Portuguese capital.

His representatives, TOP Athlete Management, are part of the TransferRoom network. A meeting between them and Rangers’ management at a Lisbon gathering played a crucial role in securing the 20-year-old’s transfer.

Tomas Sarmiento, president of TOP Athlete Management, acknowledges the reluctance to sign Latin American players due to their lack of top-level experience.

However, he emphasizes the importance of direct communication with club decision-makers to address any concerns, as was successfully done in Cortes’ case.

Sarmiento explains, “Our main focus is to identify promising young talent in Colombia and export them to prominent markets.

Joining TransferRoom as a Trusted Agent aligns with our strategic approach to the football market.”

Meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos, Cortes’ compatriot and former Rangers striker, might return to Europe with Samsunspor.

Despite signing a new deal with Santos last week, Morelos could move to Turkey on loan with an option to buy. Morelos has struggled to perform in Brazil, and Santos is open to negotiations due to financial constraints.

The Turkish transfer window remains open, offering a potential opportunity for Morelos to

join Samsunspor, who are fighting to avoid relegation in the Turkish Super League.
