2022–2023 UEFA payment distributions for Celtic, Rangers, and Hearts are disclosed; Hoops receive £26 million.

Celtic emerged as the top earners in UEFA cash distributions, primarily due to their participation in the Champions League.

The club accumulated over £26 million from various sources such as match fixtures, TV rights, and other revenue streams in Europe’s premier competition.

However, their failure to advance to the knockout stages meant they missed out on additional earnings.

Their earnings included approximately £9 million from their coefficient, £3.6 million from the market pool, and around £1.85 million from match results.

On the other hand, Rangers, who faced tough opponents like Liverpool, Ajax, and Napoli in the group stage, earned around £18.29 million in total.

Hearts, competing in the Conference League against teams like Rigas, Istanbul Basaksehir, and

Fiorentina, earned £4.11 million, thanks to victories in their group games as well as revenue from TV and ticket sales.

Manchester City claimed the highest payout from UEFA, receiving £134 million for winning the Champions League. Real Madrid, who were in Celtic’s group, received over £118.8 million as the runners-up.

Despite Rangers statistically having the worst UCL group stage campaign, they still earned more than Victoria Plzen, who received £17.2 million, the lowest payout among teams participating in the top tier

of European competition.
