“Nasty” Brendan Rodgers updates the double injury list following Celtic’s victory over Hibs.

Celtic’s victory over Hibs last night marked the end of Brendan Rodgers’ winless streak against the Edinburgh club at Easter Road.

Moreover, it widened Celtic’s lead at the top of the table to three points, increasing the pressure on Rangers to secure a win in their upcoming game against Ross County.

The match saw an early penalty by Adam Idah, putting Celtic ahead 1-0 within the first five minutes.

However, Hibs fought back in the second half, with Dylan Levitt scoring a powerful equalizer in the 60th minute.

In the final moments, Idah converted another penalty, securing a 2-1 victory for Celtic.

Despite the win, Celtic suffered injuries to key players.

Alistair Johnston was stretchered off after a collision, while Stephen Welsh had to be substituted due to a hamstring issue.

Rodgers expressed concern about losing two more defenders to injury and awaits updates on their conditions.

With several players already sidelined due to injuries, Celtic cannot afford more setbacks.

Rodgers has faced numerous injury challenges this season and may have to field a makeshift defense against St Mirren due to the absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor, who are both dealing with mid-term injuries.

Nevertheless, securing three crucial points in the Scottish Premiership race remains the top priority for Celtic.
