Alan Stubbs commands Sky Sports to remove its anti-Everton prejudice by inviting politicians to the MNF

Alan Stubbs commands Sky Sports to remove its anti-Everton prejudice by inviting politicians to the MNF

Alan Stubbs has called out Sky Sports for what he perceives as biased coverage against Everton on their Monday Night Football show.

He suggests inviting Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham to discuss the

ongoing issues at Goodison Park.

This call comes after Everton received a record 10-point deduction three months ago, which

has contributed to their current relegation zone status.

Despite Everton’s immediate appeal and subsequent second charge for further breaches,

Sky Sports has featured guests from other clubs on their show, such as Michail Antonio and Petr Cech.

Stubbs, expressing his views on his personal social media account, believes that Sky Sports

should demonstrate fairness and transparency by inviting Burnham to address Everton-related matters.

Everton supporters have been vocal about their desire for transparency surrounding

the points deduction, with Burnham noting a lack of coverage on the issue.

Burnham suggests that mainstream media may be hesitant to criticize the Premier League due

to their partnerships.

Stubbs points to the recent appearance of Petr Cech discussing behind-the-scenes matters at

Chelsea on Monday Night Football and argues that Everton fans deserve similar coverage, especially with the

anticipation of the appeal verdict and the pending club takeover.

Despite protests from fans and widespread shock over the initial points deduction, Stubbs

believes that bias against Everton persists in the media and the Premier League.
