Everton takeover twist: Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners are the targets of a new Premier League strategy

777 Partners and Farhad Moshiri faced new inquiries from the Premier League on Thursday, February 15th, regarding the former’s financial capability to complete the acquisition of Everton.

Journalist Paul Brown reported on X on Friday, February 16th, that Premier League

CEO Richard Masters warned that the approval process would be prolonged without satisfactory responses.

According to the official Everton website (September 15, 2023), the US investment firm has

reached an agreement to purchase Moshiri’s entire ownership stake in the club.

The uncertainty surrounding Everton’s takeover by 777 Partners continues, with no resolution in sight following these recent developments.

Fans of Goodison Park are left in limbo, unsure of when or if the takeover will be finalized,

further compounding their anxiety amid the team’s struggles on the field.

The team’s performance is intricately linked with off-field matters, but at present, supporters are primarily concerned with seeing the players steer Everton clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

With Everton currently in 18th place in the standings, the possibility of relegation to the

Championship looms large and is a cause for considerable concern among stakeholders, especially against the

backdrop of the impending takeover and ongoing construction of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

Miami-based firm 777 Partners is poised to play a significant role in Everton’s future if the

takeover proceeds as planned, expressing confidence in its completion.

Meanwhile, manager Sean Dyche is focused on the upcoming home fixture against fellow

strugglers Crystal Palace, aiming to address the team’s on-field performance amidst the off-field uncertainty.
