Liverpool’s attempts to sign Chelsea and Arsenal target must be abandoned.

The legendary manager of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, is leaving in the summer, and Mohamed Salah, who turns 32 before the new season begins, might not be far after. Senior officials at Anfield ought to be searching for their next big star; fortunately for them, Kylian Mbappe has recently become available.

According to reports, Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain that after his contract expires in June, he plans to look for a new challenge. The Frenchman will soon be free to sign with any club, but prospective employers may have concerns due to his outrageous pay, which is thought to cost PSG an incredible £171 million a season.

Mbappe is the player that makes your current compensation structure worthwhile to tear down. If the owners of Liverpool are to make a smooth transition into the post-Klopp era, they have no choice but to invest.

It might also be the post-Salah period, since the Egyptian is getting close to the end of his contract and has been linked to the Saudi Pro League for a while. The forward for Liverpool arrived on Merseyside in 2017 and has since scored an incredible 204 goals in 332 games.

In front of goal, not many players in world football can match Salah’s production, but Mbappe most definitely can. The World Cup winner, who is currently at 31 years old, has hit at least 30 in every competition during each of his previous six seasons.

To expand its wide options, Liverpool is apparently interested in Pedro Neto, a target for Wolves, and Rafael Leao, a target for AC Milan and Chelsea. Both players are reportedly valued at a combined £113 million by Transfermarket.

While both players are among the best in Europe, Mbappe is a different class altogether. Even with his enormous compensation, there’s probably only going to be one chance to sign a world-renowned superstar as a free agency.

Erling Haaland is one of Manchester City’s attacking juggernauts, and the team fights Liverpool for Premier League crowns. Although Darwin Nunez was acquired with the goal of posting comparable results, the Uruguayan is still a work in progress.

Mbappe is, and while Real Madrid is thought to be the favorite to sign him this summer, Liverpool might have a chance. His tenure at AS Monaco piqued the club’s interest, and the 24-year-old acknowledged that negotiations had occurred.

He added that his mother is a Reds supporter. “I don’t know why, you will have to ask her,” he replied. “It’s a big club.” If Liverpool were to make a move for Mbappe, they would have to abandon caution and put all of their eggs in one basket, but for the player who has the potential to define life after Klopp and Salah, it’s essentially now or never.
