Lewis Dunk heads the 10-man Seagulls’ equalizer in the 95th minute as Brighton defeats Everton 1-1.

In a dramatic finale, Lewis Dunk rescued a point for 10-player Brighton with a 95th-minute header, securing a 1-1 draw against Everton and extending their impressive unbeaten home run at the Amex Stadium.

Jarrad Branthwaite had stunned Brighton by putting Everton ahead in the 73rd

minute, but the game took a turn when Billy Gilmour received a late red card, leaving Brighton with a numerical

disadvantage as they fought to avoid their first league defeat at home since August.

However, Brighton’s captain, Dunk, came to the rescue, rising to meet Pascal Gross’ cross and heading in the equalizer during injury time, salvaging a deserved point for the hosts,

who had dominated possession and recorded 23 shots throughout the match.

The draw sees Brighton closing the gap on sixth-placed Manchester United to

five points, while Everton finds themselves just one point above the relegation zone.

Brighton will now turn their focus to the FA Cup fifth-round clash against

Wolves on Wednesday, followed by a Premier League encounter against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, March 2nd.

Meanwhile, Everton will host West Ham at Goodison Park in the Premier League, also on Saturday, March 2nd.
