Euro Paper Talk: The Euro powerhouse “insists” on an Everton swoop; Arsenal and Newcastle to startle Liverpool with massive offers for La Liga sensation.

A Manchester United target is expected to talk about his potential next move on Monday’s Euro Paper Talk. Arsenal and Newcastle United have joined Liverpool in the race to recruit a forward who is shining in Spain. One of Europe’s most prestigious teams is vying for an Everton star.

Takefusa Kubo, a star for Real Sociedad, is apparently being courted by Arsenal and Newcastle, who are preparing high-ball offers to sign him before Liverpool does.

In one of the upcoming transfer windows, Liverpool might have to acquire a new right winger because Al Ittihad is still keen to get Mo Salah to leave Anfield.

Kubo is one option that Reds officials are exploring as possible replacements for the deadly Egyptian.

Like Salah, the left-footed Japan international enjoys cutting inside from the right flank. He has been playing well this season. According to WhoScored, he has established himself as Real Sociedad’s finest player with seven goals and four assists in 30 appearances. In fact, Kubo leads the Sociedad rankings in terms of dribbles (2), crucial passes (2.1), and shots (2) per game.

Although Kubo is not as proficient in front of goal as Salah is yet, at just 22 years old, he still has plenty of time to mature and establish himself as a world-class winger.

After attending the Barcelona academy for a while, Kubo signed a contract with Real Madrid from FC Tokyo in July 2019. In the summer of 2022, Madrid sold the wide player to Sociedad following multiple loan stints.

Los Blancos have the option to re-sign Kubo, but on Friday, it became clear that Madrid will not obstruct Liverpool’s efforts to close a deal.

However, Liverpool now has two fresh threats. As the two teams try to sign Kubo first, Arsenal and Newcastle are reportedly mobilizing, according to reports coming out of Spain.

Arsenal, Newcastle hope to snare Takefusa Kubo

His thrilling performances this season have impressed Arsenal and Newcastle, who believe he would be a terrific addition to their respective sides.

Although Kubo has a €60 million (£51.3 million) release clause at Sociedad, Arsenal or Newcastle won’t be able to exercise it.

Both Eddie Howe and Mikel Arteta have approved sizable offers for Kubo that would comply with that exit clause.

Following Everton’s demise, Arsenal and Newcastle, like the majority of Premier League clubs, had very quiet January transfer windows. However, come summertime, things should be different, as Arsenal and the Magpies are likely to make serious offers to Sociedad.

Madrid will still gain from his upcoming move even though they will let Prem teams fight for their former player. This is because, when they sold Kubo to Sociedad, they inserted a 50% sell-on clause, which is expected to bring in €30 million (£25.6 million).
