Sean Dyche updates Ben Godfrey’s status and Arnaut Danjuma’s injuries for Everton.
Sean Dyche has provided an update on Arnaut Danjuma’s injury status, revealing that the forward missed Everton’s draw against Tottenham due to an ankle issue sustained in the
previous goalless game against Fulham.
Despite Danjuma’s absence and depleted options, Everton managed to
secure a 2-2 draw with Jarrad Branthwaite’s last-minute equalizer and goals from Jack Harrison and Richarlison.
Looking ahead, Everton has a week to prepare for a match against
Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. However, Dyche expressed doubt about Danjuma’s availability for the upcoming game, stating, ”
Danjuma is certainly very doubtful for next weekend. It needs settling down,
so we will have to wait and see as time goes on, but it won’t happen for next weekend.”
Additionally, defender Ben Godfrey was forced off in the second half against
Tottenham due to cramp. Dyche clarified, “He got cramp, but – and I’m not a medic – the kind where your
calf tightens up and won’t realize, so we had to make a decision there and then.”
