Jim White is furious over Everton’s Premier League appeal as Simon Jordan provides an update on talkSPORT.
Jim White has expressed frustration over the delay in the Premier League appeal process regarding Everton’s points deduction for breaching financial fair play regulations.
Everton appealed the decision earlier in the season, but a verdict is yet to be reached,
leaving the club uncertain of their fate as they sit 17th in the Premier League table.
Speaking on talkSPORT, White criticized the lack of clarity, stating, “I think it’s
now beyond a joke is it not? They play again this weekend for God’s sake and they go into it not knowing if
10 points is going to be reduced, and if so by what.”
Responding to White’s comments, it was suggested that Everton should focus on
their current position and consider any potential reduction in points as a bonus.
Despite the uncertainty, there is a belief that the appeal process, while taking time, will eventually provide a resolution.
Everton, meanwhile, eagerly await an update on their appeal.
The club has been vocal about their innocence regarding the financial breaches, although from an outsider’s perspective, the situation appears concerning.
The 10-point deduction significantly impacted Everton’s league standing,
dropping them down the table, but a recent run of form has seen them climb back up to 17th place, albeit level on points with 18th-placed Luton Town.
Despite the frustration surrounding the appeal process, Everton fans may find solace in
the fact that other promoted teams, such as Burnley and Sheffield United, have also struggled in the Premier
League this season. However, the delay in resolving the appeal continues to cast a
shadow of uncertainty over the club’s future in the league.
